Thanks for the list. My personal favorite article writing tip is to write a list article - like the 7 Common Mistakes you suggested - then take each one of those points and write an article about that. You'll have 8 articles for the price of one before you know it.

i only recently started to submit articles to article directories. i'd heard about this tip even before, but what got me started was the realization that some of the sites ranking higher than me in the serps for certain keywords were articles posted on sites like ezinearticles. :O

links and traffic. You don't need to put these articles on your
own site and compete with Ezinearticles.com

I don't know that speed is what article submitting is all about. What I do is to write a quality article, then I submit it to my top 5 or top 10 article directories. I also do a slight rewrite on each, to cut down on Google's duplicate content penalties.

What submission tips do you have? Other than submitting so the largest article sites do you have any advice to make a big impact and draw more traffic?

Thanks for the tips… Really good ones. Anyway i don't have any writing secrets. The most important thing is to write, write and write :). Also it is important to link keywords with deep pages withing your site, because it is crucial to spread link juice all over the site.
Btw, what is about that Dragon Naturally Speaking Ver. 10. Where it can be found ? It sounds like it could be a great tool for writing :). I will have to google it.

My submission tips are:
- Use LSI to write articles which the Search Engines will see as being very relevant, giving you a good ranking
- Only submit unique articles to just one article directory
- Make sure you have a strong benefit and call to action in your Signature at the bottom of your article, to get visitors to visit your site
- Send visitors to a squeeze page and get them to sign up to your free report etc.
- Write true quality and original articles

I think headlines are one of the most important things you can do to lure people into reading your post. Even if you have amazing content that you "just know" people will love, you need to give them a reason to read it. People (online) are busy and unless you suck them in, they'll leave before reading any of your article.

This is a good article. I have heard about the article thing where you speak and it writes the article for you. I think they said you can get that at office depot or someplace like that. The hardest part of article writing to me is trying to write effective titles. There is a lot of competition out there so you have to draw the readers in.

I've heard for Dragon, but I always thought that the software would have trouble with understanding all the words.

I usually write fast, and later come back to polish the article. If I think too much, I get a writers block.

The problem is not about writing article,but it takes time to research and get a picture in your mind on what topic you have to write.

By the way, the new Dragon 10 is extremely accurate. You won't get more than a few errors in a 350 - 500 word article. It rocks!

Great tips . Article submission is the most important part of internet marketing. If you submit a good article in some quality article directories like ezinearticles, goarticle, articleblast, it will definitely help your site to be get indexed.

I write articles and make 2 variations of each by changing some paragraphs and title. Then submit them to selected high PR article directories. Submitting them to too many would just create that much duplicate content on the internet.

Great post. I particularly like the headline advice, as it is so true. Also, solving your customers problem is key to making a sale, getting them to subscribe, etc. Without that, you're almost floundering out there!

One important thing to note with multiple article submissions…you don't want duplicate content filters to ruin their effectiveness. Each article should be unique to avoid this issue. Using jetspinner or a similar free service can help to make the content unique.

The same principle applies to writing headlines in newspaper. An editor who writes a lousy headline for today's edition will create a lousy sale. It's the headline that grabs people's attention. In writing article titles, just make sure that it is written for people, not for search engines.

All your tips are very useful and i would like to add that one of the best places to find high rankings directories to submit your articles to is "Directory Critic's" website. They have hundreds of directories in order by pagerank.

I find the title to be hard as well. It seems you get stuck on different ideas as to how you want your readers to perceive the article you wrote.
I find it easiest to just be yourself. If your writing your own content and bluntness as well as dramatic is effective for Americans are hungry for drama.

I agree, ezinearticles is a great place to start with article writing and gaining some worthy links.

Another great way to do research on what to write for article is basically research the top articles within your niche at EzineArticle.

You can see how they they are written, how their title attract people, and how many views that article was read. It's good way to figure out how to write out your own article based on those top articles.

Great article. I have been trying to do just this recently for myself and my clients. It's hard to find article directories that have good internal PR. Ezinearticles.com is definitely one of the best.
