i only recently started to submit articles to article directories. i'd heard about this tip even before, but what got me started was the realization that some of the sites ranking higher than me in the serps for certain keywords were articles posted on sites like ezinearticles. :O

I don't know that speed is what article submitting is all about. What I do is to write a quality article, then I submit it to my top 5 or top 10 article directories. I also do a slight rewrite on each, to cut down on Google's duplicate content penalties.

Thanks for the tips… Really good ones. Anyway i don't have any writing secrets. The most important thing is to write, write and write . Also it is important to link keywords with deep pages withing your site, because it is crucial to spread link juice all over the site.
Btw, what is about that Dragon Naturally Speaking Ver. 10. Where it can be found ? It sounds like it could be a great tool for writing . I will have to google it.

My submission tips are:
- Use LSI to write articles which the Search Engines will see as being very relevant, giving you a good ranking
- Only submit unique articles to just one article directory
- Make sure you have a strong benefit and call to action in your Signature at the bottom of your article, to get visitors to visit your site
- Send visitors to a squeeze page and get them to sign up to your free report etc.
- Write true quality and original articles

I think headlines are one of the most important things you can do to lure people into reading your post. Even if you have amazing content that you "just know" people will love, you need to give them a reason to read it. People (online) are busy and unless you suck them in, they'll leave before reading any of your article.

This is a good article. I have heard about the article thing where you speak and it writes the article for you. I think they said you can get that at office depot or someplace like that. The hardest part of article writing to me is trying to write effective titles. There is a lot of competition out there so you have to draw the readers in.

Great tips . Article submission is the most important part of internet marketing. If you submit a good article in some quality article directories like ezinearticles, goarticle, articleblast, it will definitely help your site to be get indexed.

I write articles and make 2 variations of each by changing some paragraphs and title. Then submit them to selected high PR article directories. Submitting them to too many would just create that much duplicate content on the internet.

Great post. I particularly like the headline advice, as it is so true. Also, solving your customers problem is key to making a sale, getting them to subscribe, etc. Without that, you're almost floundering out there!

All your tips are very useful and i would like to add that one of the best places to find high rankings directories to submit your articles to is "Directory Critic's" website. They have hundreds of directories in order by pagerank.

I find the title to be hard as well. It seems you get stuck on different ideas as to how you want your readers to perceive the article you wrote.
I find it easiest to just be yourself. If your writing your own content and bluntness as well as dramatic is effective for Americans are hungry for drama.

Another great way to do research on what to write for article is basically research the top articles within your niche at EzineArticle.

You can see how they they are written, how their title attract people, and how many views that article was read. It's good way to figure out how to write out your own article based on those top articles.

The only thing I wonder about the speak into your microphone programs, what about when you make a mistake, and want to go back, etc. That's why I prefer using the typing method, because I feel like I can gather my thoughts better that way. Still though…. the article did give me some good ideas!

Yes, this article submission directory is very useful. I am even using an automated submitter which can submit an article to over 300 directories(automated) and as it submits it, it also spin or rephrase the articles to prevent content duplication.

I have really slowed down on the whole article marketing process lately. I use to do this quite extensively, but it seems that every passing day these links become less valuable than they were the day before.

I remember back when you could rank sites on article marketing alone, but it doesn't seem to work that well any more, in fact I think it will do very little if you are targeting a remotely competitive term.

I still think that it is an integral part of any seo campaign, and of course there is always the potential for grabbing some traffic, but I wouldn't spend to much time on this area.

I have never thought of using voice recognition software for writing text. I bought a copy in the early 90's when I was in college for doing my coursework, and the software was terrible. Will have to have a look at version 10. Do you submit your articles to just one source or more?

With all the spam going on at the article directories google have heavily dissuaded most of the directories as well as the juice each link passes. However, some directories that does not allow, affiliate links and/or have strict rules, they tend to be very powerful. ezine articles is one of them grate post.

I usually rebuild articles. I like your sub heading techniques and mostly i use one keyword in sub heading. I want add one thing more, wikipedia is one of the bigger source for articles. Write article on wikipedia, really it will send you lot of traffic.

It's a psychological tipp that will help the author to write much faster!

When you make the sub-titles to the article do you make them bold with strong headline words also?

I haven't been doing this in my articles, I just have several paragraphs. But I have seen a few that have several 5 to 7 sub-titles that have a very strong headline type wording and then content is added under each heading.

I think strong sub-headings that are in bold is the better way to write articles.

I would really agree on Tip #5, submitting to great article sites such as Ezinearticles or Articledashboard will get you quality back links to your site. Plus, ezinearticles has different tools to track your articles such as knowing which of your articles have most visits, urls clicked and so on.

Article submission basically done for getting the traffic.AS you said don't submit your article on the hundred of directorty now it is less effective.

Article writing and submission does help. I have another site that was not ranked very high in the serps for my main keywords.

I did a little research, found some interesting bits of info and applied what I learned. I basically had to do a little house cleaning on my site and reorganize things.

I also wrote a few articles the revolved around the main keywords of my site. I ended up writing 6 articles. It was hard at first but as I kept going, it became easier to do.

I submitted these articles and within a few weeks I noticed more traffic and my rankings were a lot higher.

I did this a few months ago, along with a few other things, and now I enjoy a position of 10 on page one for my main keyword in google. I think with a little more effort I can make into the top 3.

So yes, I know for a fact that article submission does work

Rather than submitting in 500 sites, I'll suggest to submit in 15-20 top sites(ezine etc) after spinning and it will do the magic.

What about article rewriting or spinning? I read that we should spin our article to make them unique. On the other hand, there are many blogs who publish snippet about such issues explaining that it is not a big issue. I am really confused about that.

The articles should appear on as much sites as possible for a wider audience. So which would be the solution to this?

Also what do you say about press releases. Do you think that press releases should also appear on only one site?

Yes, I would only use one article for each Press Release. Google seems to
be able to find and remove these duplicate articles pretty well these days.

Rather invest a bit more work to write an article for each new Press Release –
you'll be well rewarded.
