Get Do Follow Links with High Pagerank & KeywordLuv Plug-in Bloglist

By Riggie Freyer

If you want good search engine rankings for your web pages, and are looking to for an easier and faster way to build backlinks to your website or blog, then read on…

Up until now, most website owners have been searching for blogs which use the "Do Follow" attribute to get targeted keyword links back to their sites. They then added a comment to the blog and got a one-way link back to their site..

The problem was… the anchor text (the hyperlinked words of the link) which pointed back to their site was their name, such as Joe Smith. If you had a website about blue widgets, you need the link to say "blue widgets" and not "Joe Smith".

Now you can find blogs using the KeywordLuv plug-in to get the targeted one-way links to your website or blog.

How the KeywordLuv plug-in Helps You
Get Targeted One-Way Backlinks.

The Wordpress KeywordLuv plug-in helps you reward your visitors who comment on your blog…. by separating their name from their keywords.

For example, if I go to a blog which uses the KeywordLuv plug-in and comment on that blog, I simply enter
Riggie@Internet Business in the name field instead of just Riggie, for example. The symbol @ does the trick here.

The title of a comment in the blog would now look like :

Riggie from Internet Business says :

instead of :

Riggie says :

This allows me to get a targeted link for the term "internet business".

As you can see, this plug-in allows a visitor to enter his name and his targeted keyword link back to his site. It's a win-win for the blog owner and the visitor. Please don't misuse this privilege.

You're a guest at someone else's blog and getting these targeted links will only work if you give contributing comments at the blogs' you're visiting.

Where You Can Find Lists of High PR Blogs to Comment On…

  1. Remember… the blog must be a "Do Follow" blog too. You can find a List of "Do Follow" blogs here at D-List.
  2. Stephan Miller has started compiling another List of Blogs using the CommentLuv Plug-in at Link Love for CommentLuv Blogs.
CommentLuv is another great plug-in which I use on this blog. It highlights the commentator’s latest post automatically by parsing their blog’s feed. This means, with every comment you leave, your latest post is automatically showcased in your comment giving you some exposure with my other readers.
  3. Fortunately for us all, R T Cunningham had created a list of blogs using the Do Follow, Keyword Luv and the CommentLuv plug-ins. The list shows you exactly which blogs only use the "Do Follow" and which ones added any of the above plug-ins. The list saves us a lot of time finding the blogs to comment on, and be sure to get a targeted link back to our sites. Thanks RT, you're a star!

Do you have any comment or suggestions about how to get targeted one-way links?

phil from belt buckles @ 8:52 pm

I recently just discovered the keyword luv plugin and I must say it's a total win-win. In my ventures around I haven't seen any spammers on the keyword luv enabled blogs. I don't know if there has been a lot of pruning to keep it that way or not.

It's kind of a fun way to market. I get to read lots of interesting articles and then post to them. Somethig in the past I wouldn't have considered doing considering the time requirements.

To find sites using keyword love I just use Yahoo and search on

link:http://www.scratch99.com/wordpress-plugin-keywordluv/

which gives a list.

The comment luv links with dofollow so I appreciate your lists.

Phil

Phil,

I find it great that you invest the time to promote articles you comment on. Very few people do this. Thumbs up for you….

I don't see a KeywordLuv list at http://www.scratch99.com/wordpress-plugin-keywordluv/

This is where you can download the KeywordLuv plug-in. The list is found above on RT Cunningham's website.

KeywordLuv is a fantastic plug-in. It's a great way to provide value for commenters and encourage participation, which is good for the site owner as well. Most of us don't have all day to mess around on blogs, so we're much more likely to get involved in those sites that are providing the most value for the time investment.

June 11, 2008

Dan from Life Coach @ 2:06 pm

Since I've implemented the keywordluv plug-in, it's been very warmly received by my blog commenters. I've noticed a small increase in spam comments, but actually at least the people who are adding the @ in their name are genuinely people, not bots! It makes it easier to spot genuine people who fall into akismet spam too as they've normally taken the time to add the keywords in correctly.

Thanks again, Dan.

All that is going to happen is Google will have teams looking for sites that have 'dofollow' and lower their rank.

June 20, 2008

Andrew from Fredericksburg Lawyer @ 3:52 am

Dan made a great point above: KeywordLuv will help separate the people comments from the spam-bots. I don't think the bots are savvy enough to handle KeywordLuv correctly. Sadly, they will probably catch up.

I added Do Follow, Comment and Keyword Luv plugins a while back myself and can say it really has encouraged reader participation.

And I honestly do not mind giving a link to someone who wants to take the time to post a meaningful comment.

Another benefit to the Keyword Luv plugin that I don't see mentioned much anywhere is that if your commentors use it, you can actually respond to them with a name instead of their anchor text words. This can be a big benefit to you even if you have a nofollow blog.

I also wouldn't be so quick to discount "nofollow" blogs. Some individual tests that people I know are performing are showing that it doesn't really seem to matter as much as previously thought. Google is a lot smarter than we think. Best of luck to you.

Comments are a wonderful thing to receive on your blog, adding the dofollow plugin is one way to reward but why not place a link to their last post under their comment, with CommentLuv, you can do that automatically! This is an excellent way to promote comments from your readers.

Interesting!
KeywordLuv helps you reward your commentators by separating their name from their keywords in the link to their site. This gives them improved anchor text, which can help their site rank higher in the search engine results.
You can now leave a comment with your name as well as a keyword of your choice here and get a PR5 link back to your site! How cool is that? People pay big bucks for that and all you have to do is comment here.

Amen, this is by far the best backlink friendly plugin for wordpress. It's too bad that mant so called "dofollow" lists turn out to contain way too many "nofollow" blogs that got in there somehow.

Keywordluv blogs are guaranteed to be dofollow and that makes the process so much easier. I hope more and more sites start to use this.

As a blogger who is into SEO and needs backlinks to generate traffic and revenue, I really like this new KeywordLuv plugin. Trying to leave comments with keywords in the name field has become a risky proposition, especially now that the Akismet service has become widespread on WordPress blogs.

I'm one of the few WordPress bloggers who doesn't use or need Akismet (I use WP-Spam Free instead), but about a week ago my URL was apparently being blocked by Akismet, probably because someone reported me as spam for having a keyword in the name field.

Fortunately, with the KeywordLuv plugin, this problem is avoided somewhat because we now have a way to use both names AND keywords so that we do not seem spammy as long as we leave substantial comments.

Cazare in Bucuresti @ 12:57 am

The problem with do-follow is people will spam. If a blog is good enough then the blog owner won’t need to have do-follow because people will comment to put their point of view accross, not to gain a back link.

The BBC is a perfect example of this. There are no links in the forums and blogs, yet they have many users.

However, when a blog is starting and it wants to get a upper hand, their is no harm in attracting people who want do-follow links, because some will become hooked, so even if you change to no-follow, people will still comment.

March 26, 2009

Riggie Freyer @ 12:58 pm

The CommentLuv Wordpress Plugin will visit the feed of the comment author and attempt to scrape the last post they made and display it under their comment.
In this manner, you can encourage people to join in the discussion of your posts and give something back to them immediately.

What I meant was that you simply get more buzz going on in your blog because of Comment Luv.

Dofollow and keywordluv plugins definitely get more readers and commentators involved. They also build relationships within the blogger community, too. But, I hope it's not just about improving your rankings with backlinks: we all have a stake in furthering meaningful discourse in the blogsphere with strong grammar, proper punctuation and compelling content. Excellent plug-in because it encourages visitors to comment on posts. I have installed on my blog.

It really is a win win situation - if used correctly, the web master is asking for comments so they should play fair, the commenter should also provide a decent response … I get mad when the blogger uses the keywordluv just to get comments and has the do-follow attribute turned off.

Useful list but you still need to look if they are do follow or no follow. I observed that most blog owners will tell that they are do follow but they just want traffic, which means you will see no follow on their blog.

Charlie from st louis muay thai @ 3:37 pm

I think the only problem with this is that people abused it, people should also put a related comment to the topic. These are like spam messages in the inbox of your email. It is very useful to both who does follow link and to the blogger, it will benefit them both but the thing is, the blogger and other readers will not get an idea based on the comments.

This tool is fantastic - a great way to show repsect to your readers and to encourage a bit of debate…sometimes people need a bit of a push/incentive to do so! I’m sure you’ll have seen traffic increase significantly though as a result, at least I hope so!

Thanks for this, but the sad fact is that some blogs will be using this today and suddenly no longer using tomorrow. I had good comments on blogs that were previously dofollow but they are all nofollow now. What a waste of time I spent making those comments.

Like the idea of allowing people to comment and get a keyword with a link out there. It’s helpful but certainly a win win situation for people who take the time to post a sincere comment. Much appreciated.

I wonder how long this is going to last. Will it keep growing and then suddenly stop when Google decides not to count these links ? For now use it , use it, use it.

Honestly it's really not that hard for google to detect this plugin and disable link juice on those pages. In fact they might already have done so because I haven't seen my ranking gone up doing blog commenting on blogs with keywordluv

Make sure you comment on blogs which have their own domain
instead of commenting on blogs created at blogger.com, for example,
which have a tendency to dissapear rather quickly ;-)

Thanks for the great advice, of course I'm adding my link but is it a good idea to add the concept ie Save Money & then the url such as Pennyroll.com ?

Riggie Freyer @ 9:04 am

It's a good idea to add your keyword and url for a
KeywordLuv link if you have an audience that would
search for your url directly.

Otherwise just using your keyword is fine.
